Welcome to Knights Enham Junior School!

Knights Enham Junior School has a warm and friendly ethos. There is a culture of high expectations of behaviour and manners that permeates throughout the school. We have 8 classes all named after planets. The staff are all dedicated to cater for the whole child. I am in my sixth year as headteacher here and am proud to say I am part of hard working and successful team.

We have an active school council. The members are elected every year by all pupils. They are an important part in decision making throughout the school.

Staff professional development is also high on the agenda making sure we are up to date with latest initiatives. As well as attending various courses three teachers have had study trips to Cape Breton, Toronto and Hong Kong during school holidays. These have brought the global dimension to our work.

Over the next 6 months we are undertaking a large building project. This project will see the existing classrooms and hall refurbished with an extension to the office area. This extension will incorporate a new ICT suite, a craft/cookery room and new offices. As a result of this we are currently in temporary accomodation on our school site. We will return to the main building in January 2009.

As you can see Knights Enham Junior School creates a happy, thriving, innovative learning environment where everybody is welcome. We are all proud to be part of the Knights Enham team ‘Together We Achieve’.
